Wharf Factor One

It’s Monday and October 1st.  By the time the old folks get up Reece has already departed and Samantha has already cleared the chaos that was the kitchen after yesterday.  The payback for that chore was my preparing breakfast, but as far as I was concerned that was a small price to pay.

We then took a bit of a drive round the area re-acquainting ourselves with the villages and the town of Northampton.  In essence I just pointed the car and then about half an hour in the Wharf magnet got us and we headed to Bugbrooke and Marcus.

It was another warm day with plenty of sunshine so we were able to enjoy the beer garden.  Prior to that and led shamelessly by Kim, there was a raid on Marcus’s accommodation.  To say he was caught by surprise was an understatement.

Marcus joined us and again we chewed loads of fat….

Jet Lag finally nailed Kim and we needed to change plans and route via Perkins Lodge Farm before heading into Northampton to collect Alexa from School.  What followed was a time challenge and further change of plans as it fast became apparent that we would have to head en masse to Northampton for Alexa.

The next hour and a half was me becoming ‘very busy urban driving’ savvy, finally making the round trip to the Farm and back to Samantha’s home in East Hunsbury for fish and chips with Alan and Alexa.

Last phase of the day was a return yet again to the Coach House and some more sleep time.  The next day would involve an earlier start with Golf planned with both Reece and Marcus at Delapre Golf Club.

At this point it is worth mentioning that the beds here in the Coach house are so comfortable.  Slumber beckons so see you again tomorrow.
