Just a week from
now we take off from Vancouver Airport and head for kids, family and friends
back in the UK. We will reconnect and recharge
our spirits in Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Gloucestershire and Sussexshire. After almost three years away, old haunts
await; happy memories will abound, and missed culture, traditions, cuisine and
beverages will be consumed with an insatiable appetite.
We will be
cataloguing our travels in a blog journal; we had such fun doing this after Manda and Cherie were here almost a year ago.
We will celebrate being home acutely aware of those things that make the
United Kingdom very different from Canada; the things that make it a very
special and unique place.
I fully expect to
be thoroughly screened as we are processed through Vancouver Airport as it is
my staff undertaking that task. They
could hardly do otherwise. I am most
fortunate that my employer agreed a leave of absence to enable this trip to
take place. I need a breather and Kim
certainly needs the break after a tough couple of years. So from Sunday 30th September
visit this blog and share our travels, thoughts and images.
Throw in your comments for good measure if you so desire.
Bye for now...
